Overton Park
This 100-year-old park is the crown jewel of the Memphis park system. In addition to
picnic areas, a playground and open recreational space, it features a 9-hole golf course,
the Old Forest, The Memphis Zoo, Memphis College of Art, the Memphis Brooks Museum of Art
and the Levitt Shell (formerly the Wallenburg Shell), an outdoor performance

Memphis Brooks Museum of Art
Located in Overton Park, the city's oldest museum which regularly features special
exhibitions, the Brushmark restaurant, and contains the renowned Kress collection of
Renaissance art and features an extraordinary collection of paintings, prints, and
sculpture spanning the 13th through 20th centuries. |
The Memphis Zoo
The Memphis Zoo, founded in 1905, is one of the finest in the world and houses over 2,800
animals featuring nearly 500 species. Recent traveling exhibitions include white tigers
and komodo dragons. The zoo has just recently undergone a $30 million renovation,
featuring an expanded Cat country and Creatures of the Night. |

Nestled in the heart of Evergreen, Williamson Park offers wide open spaces for children

Overton
Square
Three blocks of dining, music, comedy, and drama. The square features a variety of
restaurants ranging from continental cuisine to delicacies from India, Italy, Mexico, and
Cajun country. A four-screen movie theater, intriguing shops, boutiques, a comedy club,
and other nightspots round out the square's entertainment offerings. |
